Some faculties of Federal University Oye-Ekiti have started moving to their permanent sites barely two weeks into the first month of year 2015. This is sequel to the successful handover to the engineering and science faculties at ikole and oye campuses respectively a couple of weeks ago.


The state-of-the-art structures would provide more office space, lectures would provide more office space, lecturs theartres, auditoriums as well as laboratories for use by both staff and students.


As at the time of this report, some staff that were seen helping in moving furniture to the new sites expressed delight at the development and evisaged that it was a sign of greater things still ahead. Others who spoke on the basis of anonymity said the development also meant an expansion in the admission quota of the institution, and pledge to work hard to justify government’s confidence on the young institution.


Student, both fresh and returning, also applauded the development saying it was a challenge for them to do better  in the days ahead.


In the same vein Information and Technology communication (ICT) has also moved to its permanent site.
