The Federal University Oye Ekiti has been awarded a research grant to carry out a study entitled

“Participatory evaluation and promotion of improved pepper cultivars (Capsicum spp.) among small scale farmers”


The project which will be implemented in Ekiti State is funded by the Africa-Brazil Agricultural Innovation Market place Initiative supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank and the Brazilian government.


Members of the research team are: 1. Professor Akin Omotayo (Co-leader, Nigeria)

2. Dr. Ayodele Fajimi (Plant Pathologist UNAAB)

3. Mrs. Tope Ige (PhD. Student UNAAB)

4. Dr. K. Oluleye (Soil Scientist –FUOYE)

In collaboration with two Scientists from EMBRAPA Brazil

5. Dr. Mrs. Claudia Riberio (Co-Leader Brazil, Horticulture-EMBRAPA)

6. Dr. Francisco Basilio (Crop Breeder, EMBRAPA)

The project which will run for two years is valued at about $79, 500 United State Dollars has already taken off with the preparation of Nursery Chambers at Ikole Campus of the University.


Through the project, improved cultivars of pepper developed at EMBRAPA Brazil will be introduced to farmers in Ekiti state for evaluation and possible adoption.

This is to notify the General Public to disregard any of such information as it does not emanate from the University. Kindly also take not that is the official and only University website! ANY INFORMATION gotten from other websites that is not linked from our main university website is INVALID!


Software Freedom Day (SFD) is a worldwide celebration of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). The goal in this celebration is to educate the worldwide public about the benefits of using high quality FOSS in education, government, at home, business, and everywhere! The non‐profit organization Software Freedom International coordinates SFD at a global level, providing support, giveaways and a point of collaboration, but volunteer teams around the world organize the local SFD
events to impact their own communities.


For the third time, SFD will be celebrated in Ekiti, and this event would hold at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Oye Campus. The event is organized by the Information and Communication Technology Centre in conjuction with Computer Science Department.


It's not always easy to explain concepts like free software and open source, but it's important that it happens. Which is why events like Software Freedom Day are so important; To help introduce software freedom to the community. We are aiming to provide a Software Freedom Day full of interesting talks and workshops dealing with free and open source tools and projects that are cool.


The event is expected to attract software programmer and enthusiast across the country.


This is to notify the general public, especially prospective students of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) that the 2011/2012 academic session commences on Friday, 27th April, 2012.

Prospective undergraduates are to come for the screening with confirmation of payment of all service fees prescribed by the University.Screening of the newly admitted candidates begins on Tuesday, 10th April, 2012.

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti has scheduled its 2015/2016 Post-UTME Screening tests to hold from Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th August, 2015. While the Direct Entry Screening Exercise will hold on Monday, 17th August, 2015.



2.0   VENUE


Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Ekiti State




Candidates who applied to Federal University Oye Ekiti and obtained UTME cut-off score of 180 and above.




Each candidate will be required to pay the sum of Four Thousand Naira (N4,000.00) only, excluding bank charges  as follows:

i.    Registration Fee (N 2,000)

ii.   Result Processing and checking Fee (N 2,000)

Payment should be made through E-transact.




i.)  Visit any bank and pay through e-Transact platform.

ii.)  You will receive a print-out with receipt number and confirmation-order.

iii.) Visit Federal University Oye-Ekiti website and click on post-UTME link from the homepage or go directly to to complete the online registration.

iv.) Direct entry applicants are required to visit to complete the online registration.





Candidates are advised to download their POST-UTME Application Forms after submission and bring them to the venue for screening on the day of their examination.




i.)   Please use exactly the same names (and in the same order) as used on your JAMB Registration Form.

ii.)  Submit a valid e-mail address and a valid cell phone number in your Registration Form.

iii.) Registered Candidates are requested to visit our website on Monday 10th August, 2015, for their scheduled date of examination.

iv.) Follow the instruction on the website to complete your registration.
