The Vice-Chancellor has noted with dismay the blasé, apathetic and lackadaisical habit of Supervising Officers who merely initial requests forwarded by officers under them, which is at variance with global best practices.
For the avoidance of doubt, whenever requests are made, it is expected that the Head of Department/Unit and the appropriate Dean/Director should provide the Management with comprehensive comments on the merits or otherwise of each case, request and/or application, as the case may be.
Every Supervising Officer is hereby directed to note the Vice-Chancellor’s directive. This is for information and compliance, please.
