Decision Extract From Principal Officers Meeting With The Executive Of The Asuu Fuoye

DECISION EXTRACT FROM PRINCIPAL OFFICERS MEETING WITH THE EXECUTIVE OF THE ASUU FOUYE, ON MONDAY, 6^TH JUNE, 2016.

Consequent on the Principal Officers meeting of 6^th June, 2016 with Executive of ASUU, the following as stated below were reached and hereby communicated.

1. Intellectual Prosperities: Management has approved payment. A committee is set up to determine sharing formular. The committee will consist of the following.

1. Chairman – Deputy Vice Chancellor.

2. Representatives, Bursar, Member.

3. Representative, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Member.

4. Olanrewaju Raphael, Secretary (SAR V.C).

2. Promotion:

1. 2014/2015- The management has initiated and concluded the promotion exercise, the letters of those promoted will be out this week.

2. And also initiated the commencement of 2015/2016 promotion exercise.

3. Hazard Allowance: We are currently on a monthly wage bill of 171 Million Naira per month; we only receive 167 Million Naira per month from the government. To rush into the payment therefore mean to cut down on our wage bill which by implication means retrenchment. Management in the light of the above is studying the situation and searching for a pragmatic solution that will be fair to all.

4. Examination Allowance: Management has carefully reviewed and has approved payment commence 31^st of July, 2016 and the backlog is on the radar of management to accommodate same as soon as IGR improves.

5. Issue on moratorium on predatory journals: We will be very pragmatic with Predatory Journals. The content and contribution to knowledge will be determine the rating of such journals and not the Emblematic states of the Journal.
