FUOYE hosts Anatomical Society of Nigeria’s 18th Parley

Federal University Oye-Ekiti, (FUOYE) is set to host the 18th edition of the Anatomical Society of Nigeria (ASN)’s scientific conference and Annual General Meeting (AGM) from February 1 to 4, 2023.

The Chief host of the conference is the amiable Professor of Pedology, and Vice-Chancellor of the upwardly mobile Ivory Tower, Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina. Co-host is FUOYE’s Dean of Basic Medical Science faculty, Prof.A. Adeeyo.

Dr. Oluwatosin O. Ogedengbe is the the Local Organizing Committee (LOC)’s Chairman of the conference. Dr. Ogedengbe, who is also the Head of Department, Anatomy, in FUOYE, said Abstracts’ submission for the conference is still on going till January 7, 2023.

Excerpts from detailed planning of the conference, a copy of which was made available to the University media team by Dr.Ogedengbe, revealed that the scientific conference starts from 3pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, with arrival/Registration/Cocktail. On Thursday, February 2, 2023, the parley’s opening ceremony kicks off from 9am with a keynote address, Plenary sessions and the Scientific Sessions. The keynote address is entitled : Molecular Biology: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow and it will be given by a renown academician in the field. The scientific presentations are mainly practical. On Friday, February 3, 2023, sessions shall include the AGM and elections as well as more Scientific Sessions, while Saturday, the 4th of February, 2023 is the departure date.
