Information and Communication Technology Centre of The Federal University Oye Ekiti is organizing Software Freedom Day (SFD) in conjunction with Computer Science Department.
The goal in this celebration is to educate the public about the benefits of using high quality FOSS in education, government, home, business and everywhere.
The event is expected to attract software programmer and enthusiast across the country. The event is scheduled to hold from 10th to 15th of September. Below is the summary of the event.
10Th to 14th of September 2012- Pre-conference program:

There will be concurrent training session during this period. At present we have confirmation for the following training/workshop:
Network Management and Monitoring Using FOSS
How to make money using FOSS – FOSS Business Model by ICT@innovation/GIZ Germany (Certificate will be issued on succesful completion)
Linux Essentials by Linux Professional Institute (this includes an optional Certification Exam)
If you will be attending the pre-conference trainings, kindly take note that there is a fee of 30,000 per participant. This fee includes launch, tea breaks and training materials during the training period. All those participating in any of the events are expected to handle their accommodation and transportation themselves. We can however help you book for an hotel based on request.
