History of FUOYE
The journey started as early as 10am with the first port of call being the Oloye’s Palace located within the Oye town. On the Vice Chancellor’s entourage were the Ag. Registrar, Mr. Daniel Adeyemo, The Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Professor Chris Bolu, the University Librarian, Mr. Michael Afolabi, the Director, Information and Protocol, Dr. Ojiaku Kalu, and head of Personnel, Mr Ayodele Fatuuase. Of course, the VC was accompanied on the visit by his beautiful wife, Mrs Chiwe Asuzu.

Scholarships And NELFUND
1. As of October 9, 2025, NELFUND had paid ₦65.3 billion directly to 239 institutions to cover tuition fees, while ₦51.1 billion was disbursed as upkeep allowances to students, bringing the total disbursement to ₦116.4 billion.
2. Each semester, FUOYE is proud to honor academically talented and exceptionally skilled students with a variety of scholarships and awards. The university annually awards more than 100 million Naira as scholarships to both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
