The Registry Department is the central administrative and records-management authority of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). It serves as the custodian of the University’s academic records, statutory processes, and governance documentation, ensuring continuity, integrity, and institutional memory.
The Department plays a critical role in supporting the University’s academic mission through effective administration, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance.
As a core governance unit, the Registry provides professional administrative support to the Governing Council, Senate, Management, Faculties, Departments, and Committees, thereby ensuring the orderly and lawful operation of the University in accordance with established statutes and regulations.

The scope of the Registry Department spans the full spectrum of academic administration and institutional governance.
Its scope includes:
▶Academic records and student documentation
▶Senate and Council secretariat functions
▶Admissions, matriculation, and graduation processes
▶Staff and student regulatory compliance
▶Implementation of academic policies and regulations
▶Institutional correspondence and documentation
The Registry works collaboratively with academic units, administrative departments, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders to ensure consistency and compliance across all academic processes.

Responsibilities, Services, and Duties
The Registry Department is responsible for the following core functions:
▶Managing student admissions, enrolment records, and academic transcripts
▶Coordinating matriculation, convocation, and award of degrees
▶Serving as Secretariat to the Governing Council, Senate, and statutory committees
▶Implementing and interpreting academic rules, regulations, and policies
▶Maintaining accurate and secure academic and administrative records
▶Providing guidance on staff and student disciplinary procedures in line with regulations
▶Issuing official academic documents and certifications
▶Supporting accreditation exercises through accurate documentation
▶Advising Management on governance procedures and statutory compliance
Through these responsibilities, the Registry ensures that academic administration is efficient, transparent, and legally sound.
