The Directorate of Academic Planning is a central governance and strategy unit of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), responsible for guiding the University’s academic growth, programme development, and institutional effectiveness. The Directorate plays a critical role in aligning teaching, research, and learning outcomes with national priorities, regulatory requirements, and global best practices in higher education.

Responsibilities, Services, and Duties

The Directorate of Academic Planning performs the following core responsibilities:
▶Coordinating the development, review, and rationalisation of academic programmes
▶Preparing academic briefs and documentation for Senate, Management, Governing Council, and regulatory bodies
▶Managing academic data, statistics, and enrolment trends for planning purposes
▶Supporting accreditation exercises and academic audits
▶Advising Management on academic expansion, programme viability, and resource implications
▶Ensuring alignment of curricula with labour market needs and national development goals
▶Supporting strategic academic initiatives and policy implementation
Through these functions, the Directorate ensures that academic decisions are data-driven, sustainable, and aligned with the University’s mission.
