The Bursary Department of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) is the central financial management unit responsible for planning, managing, and safeguarding the University’s financial resources. Scope

The scope of the Bursary Department covers all financial operations and fiscal management activities of the University. Its scope includes:

▶Financial accounting and reporting

▶Expenditure control and payment processing
▶Treasury and cash management
▶Financial compliance and audit coordination
The Department works closely with Management, the Registry, Academic Planning, internal and external auditors, and relevant government agencies.

Responsibilities, Services, and Duties

The Bursary Department performs the following core responsibilities:
▶Preparing and administering the University’s annual budget in line with approved policies
▶Managing financial records, accounts, and statutory financial reports
▶Processing payments, salaries, allowances, and financial obligations accurately and promptly
▶Managing internally generated revenue and other income streams
▶Ensuring compliance with government financial regulations and accounting standards
▶Coordinating internal and external audit processes
▶Providing financial advice and reports to Management, Council, and Committees
▶Implementing financial controls to prevent waste, fraud, and mismanagement
▶Supporting financial planning for projects, programmes, and strategic initiatives
▶Maintaining transparency and accountability in all financial transactions
▶Through these functions, the Department ensures effective stewardship of the University’s financial resources.
