Welcome to the Directorate of Physical Planning of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE). The Directorate is responsible for guiding the structured physical growth and infrastructural development of the University in alignment with its academic expansion and long-term strategic plan.

As FUOYE evolves into a modern and research-driven public university, sustainable infrastructure planning becomes essential. The Directorate ensures that all physical developments are well-designed, regulatory compliant, environmentally responsible, and aligned with institutional priorities.

Scope

The Directorate’s scope encompasses strategic campus planning, infrastructure design review, space allocation, and environmental planning.

Its scope includes:

Development and implementation of the University Master Plan
Architectural and engineering design review
Infrastructure expansion and space management
Environmental and land-use planning
Feasibility assessments for capital projects
Compliance with building and planning regulations
Sustainable and green campus initiatives

The Directorate collaborates closely with Works & Services, Project Monitoring & Environmental Services, consultants, and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities, Services, and Duties

The Collaboration Directorate performs the following core responsibilities:
▶Facilitating collaboration across faculties, departments, and units to promote synergy and efficiency
▶Coordinating multidisciplinary academic and research initiatives
▶Supporting joint programmes, projects, and initiatives within the University
▶Providing guidance on collaborative project design, governance, and implementation
▶Strengthening engagement with professional bodies, industry groups, and community organisations
▶Supporting collaborative teaching, research, and innovation activities
▶Promoting knowledge sharing and institutional learning
▶Monitoring and documenting collaborative outcomes and impact
▶Advising Management on collaboration strategies that enhance institutional effectiveness
Through these responsibilities, the Directorate ensures that collaboration is intentional, impactful, and aligned with FUOYE’s strategic goals.
